In the 1960s, Allison Mugler’s son Martin is diagnosed by Chicago-based award-winning clinical psychiatrist Dr. Marak Burad as having Life Trance Dementia Syndrome (LTDS) — a condition that enables his spirit to float undetected from his body and metaphysically visit other people. His Life Trance becomes trapped in an enchanted eighteenth-century anniversary clock, leaving him a child with special needs.
In 2008, after purchasing the timepiece from a unique shop in Brooklyn, aspiring jazz singer and art collector Charly Bergeron inadvertently releases Martin’s Life Trance through his DNA. The act opens a time portal and Martin is perceived as a glowing poltergeist. When Martin and Charly finally meet, they discover a common thread that includes superhuman abilities and an inescapable mission.

Stacy Stewart Smith is a New York-based author, fine artist, and couture fashion designer. For many years, Smith has been a college educator, including his current post as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Fashion Design Art at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) of New York.
